1st Step: Identification

Identification is the first step because wrong identification can fail this whole process. How to identify them? Let’s take a look below👇

  • Clover mites can be difficult to identify because they are so small. They are about 1/30th of an inch long. Notice them closely, and you’ll notice little patterns like dots in their body. 
  • They have eight legs, but it will be difficult to count them because of their size. Their forelegs are much longer than other legs. This feature makes them different from other species. 
  • The interesting fact is they are not insects. They fall in the group of spiders. You may confuse their appearances with Chiggers.  How you can differ from Chiggers and Clover Mites. Long front legs are missing in Chiggers. 
  • The best point is to identify them; they don’t bite you, and animals like chiggers. They only like to eat plants and greens.

3rd Step: Treatment

Now the step is for treatment. Once you have identified the space and spices, this is the time for chemical treatment. Before heading, I recommend collecting hand gloves, a full shirt, a cap, and other protective equipment to protect yourself from chemical reactions. 

There are three levels of severity. Low severity where you have seen them outdoors, moderate severity where you are seeing them crawling on the floor of the home. And the third is high severity, where they actually appear indoors. 

You can treat them indoors and outdoors by using broadcast insecticides, such as Supreme IT and Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol. Mic Supreme IT with concentrate water in a handheld sprayer. 

Apply them where you have found red stains or clover mites. If clover mites are already in your home, don’t panic. In this case, you need to apply Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol. Simply mix Supreme IT at 0.25 – 0.50 oz per gallon of water to cover 1.000sq ft. Spray this mixture to the bottom and the top of the plant, door, windows, and crack wall, indoor plant. 

On the other hand, for indoor, you can use Pyrid Aerosol. This product always comes with a straw. You can spray Pyrid Aerosol at the window, door wall crack, and hanging products. Now, do you know the answer to how to get rid of clover mites in home?

4th Step: Prevention
