The Biscuitville Story:
So, without wasting any more time, let’s check out the Biscuitville story in a nice, organized chronological order!
1966 – 1967:
Maurice Jennings, a flour broker, launched two stores located in Burlington, North Carolina. The name of the stores? Mountainbrook Fresh Bread & Milk! And that was the start of Biscuitville in 1966.
In 1967, Jennings started selling pizzas. Of course, he went on to launch multiple Pizzavilles. But that was not all. This was also the year when Jennings began baking his USP products – freshly made-from-scratch biscuits. Every morning, Jennings would bake these biscuits and have a nice jelly bar. Soon, people started lining up outside his doors.
1975 – 1979:
Let’s fast forward to 1975 when finally the very first Biscuitville is opened at Danville in Virginia. The store would operate between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. Of course, residents of North Carolina are bummed. But in three years, eight Biscuitvilles are launched in North Carolina, making people there very happy.
While three Biscuitvilles opened up in North Carolina in 1978, something even bigger happened the following year. The brand came up with its home office and distribution center in Graham.
1982 – 1996:
By 1982, 25 Biscuitville stores were already open, and these stores were serving eggs, sausage, chicken, bacon, ham, and steak. The brand also came up with its whole ‘an exceptional biscuit-maker can make 90 biscuits (and just about as many friends) in 15 minutes’ campaign.
In the same year, the closing time is actually cut back in all the stores to 2 p.m. except ten stores. Their campaign for that? “Life After 2 Begins.” The next landmark year for the brand happens to be 1996, when Burney Jennings was selected as the CEO and President. The brand at this time was located at 42 locations with more than 750 employees.
2007 – 2016:
By 2007, there were around 50 Biscuitvilles in the United States. The goal? To become bigger and stronger over the next forty years. With a solid goal in place, the Biscuitville brand moved to Greensboro.
Once the next decade hit, the need for branding emerged. By 2014, the rebranding for Biscuitville Fresh Southern began with a new restaurant and even logo designs. And two years later, something even better happened. In 2016, Freshville celebrated its 50th birthday.
2019 – 2021:
In 2019, Biscuitville headed east for the first time, launching in Fayetteville. This was the first time in a whole decade that the Biscuitville brand made its introduction in a new market. The following year, Kathie Niven became the CEO and President with stores at 62 locations that employed over 1500 people.
Burney Jennings then became the Executive Chair. The Biscuitville brand celebrated its 55th birthday in 2021 with stores in 65 locations.

Review :
“This place is so good! I've been here twice and I always get the Seoul Box. I think it's made with bulgogi or maybe Mongolian beef. It's quick and delicious. It reminds me of chipotle just without the line. I love being able to get a good wholesome meal quickly and easily. It's a great presentation. I was so hungry and it looked so good! Haha, I hope you enjoy it too!” By - Kiyanna G

“In the midst of moving and trying to find something fast we stopped at Biscuitville. He ordered the new spicy honey biscuit. Had spicy breaded chicken deep fried to perfection and drizzled with sweet honey served In between a fluffy biscuit top and bottom. I ordered the Bacon, reg, and cheese biscuit, and you can't go wrong!” By - Kelsey R
Review :
“We used to go to the Rise in Morrisville for biscuit sandwiches, but surprisingly enough this Biscuitville has tastier biscuit sandwiches, which don't taste as salty and greasy as the ones at Rise. I really like the convenience of the location and drive-through, and the service is fast and friendly. I think it's already been three times this week that I've stopped there for a delicious sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit with an iced vanilla latte.” By - Salsalisa

“We lived in Cary and frequently visited Biscuitville. It was definitely our "go-to" place for breakfast. We moved to Michigan almost 7 years ago and have craved it ever since. We went to NC on vacation and stopped in Cary, of course, we had to stop into our favorite Biscuitville for breakfast..... It's everything we remember. So delicious. Even the same man was behind the counter!” By - SMT1974

Review By Lorraine C:
“Great meal with a Good Friend! Met a Friend for Breakfast and it was Great! We both chose the newest addition to the menu (the smoked sausage biscuit with pepper and onions). We decided to drink the new Watermelon Lemonade and while I loved it, my companion did not. I had my sausage sandwich on the new “skinny biscuit” and it was totally Fabulous. My Friend had hers on a regular biscuit and we could not tell the difference (which to me, is a good thing)! Will do this again (and again and again). It is THAT Good!”
Review By Howard G:
“For those of us who crave breakfast sandwiches made with another form of bread beside biscuits, rejoice in the fact that Biscuitville offers Muffin Sandwiches, too. There are at least four that I know of.
Turkey sausage, egg, and cheese English muffin.
Grilled chicken English muffin club.
Grilled chicken, egg, and cheese English Muffin.
Bacon, egg, and cheese English muffin.
This variety is sure to please anyone who prefers toasted English muffins to fragile buttermilk biscuits. And I know this borders on insane, but in addition Biscuitville offers sandwiches made from waffles!
A bright, pleasant atmosphere, convenient to those who reside in western Cary. The lady in charge most mornings knows many customers by their names. If you stop by often enough she’ll learn yours, too.
Hey, if you don’t care for their coffee, there’s a Starbucks right next door.”
Review By Richard Z:
“Great Breakfast. Had the combo plate with eggs, a fantastic biscuit and fantastic sausage gravy! My wife had a biscuit sandwich and raved about the biscuit! Great value!”
Review By Gweikel:
“This is my first time seeing this type of restaurant. Wow. Holy cow. They have some of the best biscuits this southern boy has eaten. As you walk in you see someone making fresh biscuits right in front of you. And the apple turnover is a perfect finish. It is a must try.”

“Frequently stop here for their Country Ham Biscuits. They are easily the best around. Service is quick and friendly. I enjoy watching them making the biscuits while waiting to order. All handmade.”
