The federal has revealed certain conditions that require to be fulfilled before schools and tertiary institutions within the country are going to reopen institutions in Nigeria. This was made known by the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, at the 2020 JAMB Policy assembly.
conditions to reopen institutions in Nigeria: According to him, all Institutions must have hand-washing facilities, blood heat checks, Body disinfectants in the least entering points to their major facilities including the gates, hostels, classes, offices, etc., the entire premises of every institution must be decontaminated, all efforts must be geared toward maintenance of the very best level of hygiene and eventually , Social and Physical Distancing in school sizes and meeting spaces must be ensured.
In his speech, he commended the upper institutions for responding promptly with different innovations, including the manufacturing of a number of the facilities that were required to attend to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
He warned institutions against reopening of faculties without Federal Governments’s approval.
